Friday October 18th Club Goodtimes - Somerville, MA. Not Broken, finalists of last years Meltdown open with a great set of melodic rock. Tonight, they are sounding bigger and better than I have ever heard them. A good crowd of 150 plus people are in the room early on to check them out. Not Broken plays the song "Ashamed" which I had heard on the previous Sunday night on WAAF's all local show, "Bay State Rock with Carmelita" and I am singing along like many in the crowd. "Well It hurts me when you think I'm weak. For my recovery means nothing..to you. Well I know that it hurts you, when you know that I know, that I've let you down...again, WELL I'M ASHAMED.. AGAIN." Tonight, Michael the lead singer of Not Broken is great and this song showcases him well. But that's not all they got in the arsenal of quality tunes. The song, "Not Broken" with a kind of Blues Traveler feel is a favorite as well "Katie On My Mind". Great catchy heartfelt songs, buy the cd "the Florida Sessions" recorded by former Matchbox 20 and Creed producer, Jay Stanley, you won't be sorry. Watch this band in the future and the crowd pleasers that are Mike, Dave, Brian and their new addition on bass-NOT BROKEN.
