Full Band Information:
Not Broken is a four piece original/cover rock band that plays in areas north of Boston. The band has been actively playing since 2000. Not Broken has performed over one hundred shows since 2000. Not Broken has a hard-driving, acoustic-electric, pop rock sound. Strong vocal melodies and soaring harmonies with an alternative edge highlight the band’s sound. The arrangements are tight and constructed around well-written songs.
Not Broken covers music from the late 90s to the current hits of the millennium. Some of the artists covered by NB are, the Goo Goo Dolls, Stone Temple Pilots, U2, Sublime, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Foo Fighters, and many others. NB also performs original music from their two CD's. Not Broken has a fairly large following, often bringing over 100 people to their shows Not Broken plays year round, often booking shows in advance. Not Broken has played a wide variety of events from private functions to various clubs and restaurants throughout Boston’s north shore and Merrimack Valley. Acoustic Act Information:
In addition to NB’s full 3 piece band, they also have an acoustic act that performs hits from the 60s to the millennium. This act has been playing from Boston to its northern areas for over 20 years with several hundred performances under their belt. Not Broken acoustics also play throughout the year and book well in advance. NB acoustics has played a variety of different venues over the years from weddings, restaurants, clubs and private parties.
Band History:
Not Broken formerly called Peace Music started as a two- man acoustic with life long friends Mike Finochairo on vocals and David Torrisi on guitar. As a songwriting team they have written several songs which appear on two CD’s. Mike and Dave’s first album titled “Peace Music” was a meld of many different styles and features acoustic sounds as well as full rock arrangements. Album review. Not Broken eventually became a four piece band, adding drummer Brian Belfiore and Bassist Eric Kryzynski to the mix. NB’s 2 nd CD titled “Florida Sessions” was a full band effort and is a more polished rock album with heavier guitars mixed with acoustics. This album was recorded in Ocoee Florida by a well know producer engineer Jay Stanley who has worked with many famous artists like Creed, and Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20. Mr. Stanley wrote the song 3am with Rob Thomas that went on to be a massive hit for Matchbox 20.
Since the late 90s into the millennium Not Broken has received radio airplay on several local stations. Not Broken’s title track Ashamed on Florida Sessions received radio airplay on rock 101.1 and WAAF 107.3. Not Broken went on to headlined rock 101.1’s Homegrown show in 2004. Not Broken originals titled Think Again, Just for the Moment, Felt a Notion, and Grass is Greener have also received radio airplay over the years. Some of the band’s bigger gigs have included shows at Copperfield's in Boston and the Middle East in Cambridge. Other notable achievements over the past few years include:
